Splice is a tetraploid hybrid enhanced® ryegrass (also known as a festulolium), and is a four way inter-species cross between perennial ryegrass, Italian ryegrass, meadow fescue and tall fescue.
Splice is a fast establishing, densely tillered variety with very strong year-round growth and high pasture quality.
Splice is late heading and has very good disease resistance. Being a hybrid, Splice will persist up to 2-4 years subject to weather and management conditions.
A key feature is its animal safety – Splice will not cause grass staggers or heat stress.
